Process Engineers Gulf Holdings – Doha, QATAR Job Description Our Client, a leader in Solar Power Industry, based in Doha, QATAR, is seeking the services of a Process Engineer. Should you not have heard from us by the 15th March, please consider your Applications as unsuccessful. Oversee and approve process engineering of the Technology provider and the EPC Contractor. Ensure all the safety, regulations and standards are met during design and execution phase of the project life cycle. Perform HAZOP, SIL, and any other engineering requirements during the design phase. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Process Engineers will be responsible for providing lead role in his/her area of specialization during detailed engineering, design reviews, Process Hazard Analysis, plant-commissioning, startup and operator training. Provide process engineering input to ensure the as built design meets the design basis. Liaise between the project team, the stakeholders, the Technology Provider, the EPC Contractor and the site team in regards to all process engineering issues. Using a systems approach, define process systems for handover/commissioning sequence and input to business planning team. The major responsibilities are: •Provides technical support to various engineering activities. •Reviews and makes recommendation of work performed by vendors, PMC, the Technology Provider, the EPC Contractor. •Provides necessary engineering support to Construction and commissioning activities. •Coordinates with Operation, Maintenance, HSSE and other department to provide proper project review. •Ensures that all design work is safe, meets the requirement and conforms to standards or to agreed industry standards. Work Experience 5 years of significant technical and/or engineering experience in the Polysilicon industry as the Process Engineer in one or more of the several process units of the plant, such as Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Trichlorosilane (TCS) synthesis, TCS distillation, Siemens reactor, Product handling (including chemical etching), Vent Gas Recovery and Converter (Silicon Tetrachloride (STC) to TCS). At least 5 years of related experience in an operations/project/design function. Education: Bachelors in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering from a recognized university. Skills, Capabilities and Languages: •Have organizational, presentation and people skills to deal with a diverse group of individuals both inside and outside of the project team. Good communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills. •Ability to elicit cooperation from immediate supervisor, Engineering Manager and other project team members.
