Malala Yousafzai the youngest ever winner of Nobel peace prize 2014

Malala Yousafzai, the 17-year-old Pakistani teenage education campaigner shot on school bus in 2012 by a Taliban gunman, has been announced as the joint winner of the 2014 Nobel peace prize.
Malala became a global personality after she was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman in 2012, in Pakistan after coming to prominence for her campaigning for education for girls.

She becomes the youngest ever winner of the prize, which she shares with Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian children’s rights activist, who has been at the forefront of Indian movement against child labour.
The pair were named winner of the $1.11m(N182,650,500) prize by the chairman of the Nobel committee, former Prime minister of Norway, Thorbjoern Jagland on the morning of Friday, 10 October
