HIRING: HEAD OF INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY

Our client, a not-for-profit Professional Services firm offering Training, Consulting and Research services currently seeks to hire a Head of Technology and Innovation who will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing and implementing the organization’s ICT Strategy, systems, plans and policies.




RESPONSIBILIITIES:
·         Conceptualize, develop strategy for and oversee the design and implementation of major systems initiatives.

·         Manage/oversee multiple, concurrent and often disparate tasks for projects involving innovative applications and dissimilar systems, as well as databases and highly complex system integration.

·         Provide authoritative technical and policy advice to the company’s Management Team and strategic partners on systems development in a changing business environment and the implications of various alternatives, as well as on business applications and other related issues.

·         Formulate effective new ideas and innovative strategies for product development, marketing, branding, or business opportunities.

·         Identify and plan(s) for future needs; develop and disseminate best practices

·         Develop innovative solutions to resolve intricate problems that impact critical areas of the company’s work and ensure the development of standards, procedures and practices to secure a stable and effective systems environment.

·         Lead and direct the ICT team while planning and allocating work assignments
·         Directing and supporting the implementation of new software and hardware

·         Disaster recovery management/ planning
·         Evaluate the progress of innovation and adjust the pace or direction of new projects in accordance.

·         Keep all new IT projects in line with the company’s mission and maintains consistency with the company’s message and branding

·         Overseeing departmental finances, including budgeting and forecasting
·         Implementing executive policies
·         Reporting back to the C-suite level


REQUIREMENTS:
·         Mature, seasoned and proactive leader with demonstrated excellence in Information Technology.
·         Must have a Professional IT Certification
·         Degree in a relevant discipline
·         10+ years of progressively responsible IT and Strategy experience
·         Previous success implementing systems and automating processes
·         Articulation and development of corporate IT strategy
·         Ability to lead Open Innovation in areas/technologies that support the company’s mission
·         Using the front end of innovation process to identify, screen, and reach decisions on opportunities
·         Ability to support technology development for long term sustainable advantage in the company’s selected markets.
·         Digital knowledge: The Head of Innovation and Technology must be tech-savvy in order to capitalize on technology innovations that will benefit the company and enhance an efficient work environment.
·         Skilled in Data-driven execution: The Head of Innovation and Technology must be able to execute the company’s strategy and operations decisions based on data-driven insights.
